The Waters Maker Fair supports the students and programs of our neighborhood school. Saturday, December 7, 2019 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Waters Elementary Our annual Maker Fair (formerly known as the Holiday Craft Market) is quickly approaching, and this year is going to be better than ever! The vendor list is impressive, there will be face-painting for the kids, and ever popular Giving Tree and Cake Walk will be back! Invite your friends and family, tell your neighbors, and don't forget to bring your holiday shopping list! This is one you don't want to miss. With nearly 50 local artisans, there's something for everyone. Some of your favorite vendors are back with a few more including: Olive Babe Boutique modern baby accessories Urban Chic Studio Store poylmer clay jewelry Spicy Grrrls small batch craft hot sauce Proper Letter hand-lettered ornaments Admission is free Questions? Email the Maker Fair team. Interested in Volunteering to Help? Sign up here or see below. The Cake Walk There's a good reason why this annual activity is a huge hit: CAKE! If you've played before, you know how awesome it is. If not, the game is simple: Buy a ticket, then walk around in a circle with your fellow cake walkers and wait for the music to stop. If the number you're standing on is called, you've won a cake! But in order for this fun event to happen, we need donations! All cakes and cupcakes (one dozen count as one cake) are welcome, and if you don't like to bake there's no shame in buying. Please email Serena Hess if you plan on contributing something sweet, then deliver your creation to the Cake Walk table (in the first floor hallway) on a disposable plate by 10AM on Saturday December 7. Happy baking (or shopping)! We will need volunteers during Maker Fair at the Cake Walk. Sign up and join the fun! The Giving Tree This kid favorite is back and poised to be better than ever—we just need a few generous donations to make it happen! If you're new to Waters, here's how it works: Pay just $1 for your child to choose an envelope from the Giving Tree. Open the envelope to reveal a colored sticker, and then watch as your kiddo delights in selecting ANY gently used item from the table color that matches their sticker. Even better, 100% of the money raised goes straight to WatersToday. To donate a "new condition" toy, craft item, or kid’s book (no stuffed animals please!) to the Waters Giving Tree, please visit the collection bins in these 3 convenient locations by December 1. Please contact Laura Ellsworth with questions or connections to corporate donations. • 4451 N. Campbell, front porch • 2655 W.
