Friday, June 8 – Sidewalk Running Perimeter of Waters
The Waters Wildcat Walk-a-thon is a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle, to empower students to be active members of our community, and to raise money for their school. Proceeds from the Walk-a-thon help support and fund the Waters sports/academic teams, coach stipends, team uniforms, the purchase of equipment for the school-wide physical education program, and much more. Our goal for this year’s Walk-a-thon is $15,000 which we can meet if each student raises a minimum $60 in pledge donations!
Here’s how you can help:
- Encourage your child to identify eight to 10 family and friends and ask each person for $5-$10.
- Advise donors to make an online pledge. Promote on-line pledging by helping your child create a video to text/email to friends/family. Also, promote via social media.
- Your child should have brought home a pledge sheet that includes all the following details: pledge rewards, timeline to raise pledges (pledges are due 6/1; no cash please) and the time frame each class is walking so you can help cheer them on. Download Pledge Sheet.
- Interested in volunteering? Sign up to help out at the walk.
